Building a relationship on trust with Bigfoot must be done delicately and is fragile at best. They already do not trust people so the least little thing can be a major setback in that relationship. This is a great example of how smart they are and how they do things to cover their tracks. I was trying to get recordings of them talking to each other, so I decided to gift them several types of food and put a recorder in a wooden box where the lid overlapped the box. The box was solidly built with wood and totally enclosed. I put the recorder down so no light would show and then put the speaker so it was hidden and could not be seen due to the lid covering the black microphone. A couple of days later I went back to see what had happened and to retrieve the recorder. What was strange when I approached the gifting station was

that the container that had dog food in it was empty but none of the other food had been touched. As I started to drive around it, I noticed the empty container that had been on the ground was no longer there. I started looking closer to try to find the empty container but to my surprise I saw the container with the dog food was in the woods partially hidden. Of course, my first thought was that for a container that big to get there and nothing spill had to be moved by something with hands. And then I saw the footprints leading the way to the woods. They were the prints of a juvenile that I had seen many times and they were in a straight line (which almost always rules out humans). I was astonished!!! The juvenile had taken the empty container off the ground and put it where the dog food had been so we wouldn’t notice the dog food container had disappeared. I then went to get the recorder and found that the microphone had been pulled out of the box and put on top of the marble plate with the white sand as if to say, “You can’t fool us we know what you did.”. I’m not sure how they found out the recorder was in there. Did they see me put it in there? Did they smell my scent on the box and find it? Or do they possibly have ways of picking up on the frequency of all electronics and could tell it was in there? The latter has some merit since over and over we hear about electronics of all types having glitches when they are in areas where Bigfoot is. After listening to the recordings, you can hear loud footprints going directly to the box and then pulling the cord out, setting it down, and then leaving. During the night you could hear numerous sets of prints walking in the woods almost pacing back and forth near the gifting station. Now I know this may sound farfetched but what I believe happened was one of the adults found the recorder and let the others know that we were playing games and to keep away from the gifting station. Then one very hungry juvenile not wanting to disobey decided to replace the dog food with an empty container and eat the dog food in the woods (this had never happened before or after this). The other food did not get touched for 2 to 3 weeks where usually if I left something it was gone in the same night or no later than the second night. Thus, they thought I had broken their trust and even though it hurt them by not having the food they were going to let me know that what I had done was wrong. So, to get a family group to trust you pay attention because they will let you know when you have done something to break trust with them.
